iPhone Email

This section explains how to use the email features of the iPhone, including setting up mail, syncing mail, deleting email, and more.
On the first-generation iPhone, disk space is at a premium. With just 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB available to hold music, movies, calendars, contacts, and photos, it seems there’s never quite enough room for it all. But there are ways to free up some disk space on your phone for the things you want more. One of them is to carefully manage how you store and delete email.
The iPhone can hold a running list of all the email that’s been sent to the email accounts you’ve configured the phone to check. But you won’t want to save some email — spam, annoying messages, things with large attachments that you don’t want to view on the iPhone. In that case, you’ll want to delete email.
